About the data
Podhash reads the public podcast charts that Apple and Spotify publish, records one snapshot per chart per day, and keeps every snapshot. That is the whole product: the charts you can already see, plus a memory.
Where the numbers come from
Apple Podcasts
Read from Apple Podcasts charts, once per day, per market.
Spotify
Read from Spotify podcast charts, once per day, per market.
What is captured
6 markets across 2 platforms, plus every category chart those platforms publish for those markets. The most recent capture is 31 Aug 2026, covering 194 charts. 1358 snapshots stored in total.
What a chart position is not
A chart position is a relative ranking signal published by a platform. It is not a download count, a listener count or an audience estimate, and Podhash will never present it as one. Where a platform does not publish a chart, Podhash shows nothing rather than inventing a position — a show absent from a chart is not ranked, not #201.
Corrections and gaps
If a source feed fails, the affected chart keeps its last good snapshot and the page says how old it is. Missing days are shown as gaps in history charts, never smoothed over.
Independence
Podhash is not affiliated with, endorsed by or partnered with Apple or Spotify. Platform names are used only to say where a ranking came from.
